Continued..

1. Presenting Vietnamese spring roll..
INGREDIENTS
bun

shrimp w. salt and pepper

spring roll skin

peanut sauce (hoisin + pb + oil + garlic)

seasoned turkey meat

romaine lettuce

Ta-da! (I wrapped these!)


2. Steamed pork and egg


3. Bai cai with dried shrimp


4. Transparent noodle with small bai cai, mushroom, and scallion in soup


5. Ma po tofu


6. Miso soup


7. Thai style curry with mi fan


8. Mac-n-cheese (I didn't understand the appeal of mac-n-cheese when they served it in school cafeterias, and I now realize it prob. will never be a favorite food of mine..)


9. Shrimp fried rice


10. Ching gong cai with beef


11. Chinese "tamale" aka zhong zi


12. Szechuan shrimp dish (shrimp could have been marinated before cooking; instead of just ketchup, chili sauce, garlic, and sugar, it prob. would have turned out better if I'd added rice wine, soy sauce, green onions, and ginger too -- and perhaps make it a solely shrimp dish (no vegetables) and add cornstarch for thickness)
